Union J
Basically I love Union J and this is totally a self indulgent blog post.
X Factor Journey
Just like One Direction, Union J came from the TV show X Factor UK in 2013. Members Jaymi Hensley, Josh Cuthbert, and JJ Hamblett all auditioned as a group, Triple J. George Shelley also auditioned that season as a solo artist. Both acts were eliminated before judges houses, but since another group, Rough Copy was forced to withdraw, Louis Walsh (mentor) offered Triple J and George Shelley back on the show, but only under the condition that they form one group.
They decided to enter the competition as Union J. Judges Houses for the show took place in Las Vegas, where they performed together for the first time.
They made it through Judges Houses and into Live Shows.

They were sadly eliminated week 9 making it to the top 4.

After X Factor UK
The boys decided to continue on as a group and on April 22, 2013 they released their first single, "Carry You"
They then premiered their second single on September 9, 2013, "Beautiful Life."
After announcing that their self titled album, Union J would be released on October 28, 2013.
On November 5th, "Loving You Was Easy" was announced as the band's third single. The video's premiere date is still to be announced.
Tour
It kicks off December 14th and goes through January 10th. I am extremely jealous of anyone who gets to go see them live... Only an ocean and the entire continent of North America between us :(
Book
Their book Our Story was released September 28, 2013. It's about their journey from before X Factor to the present.
